Note the defects in house carefully when you move in
When a tenant moves in you must give them a checkin-out list. This is a form that they must fill in looking at the condition of the home as they check in. This form will form the basis of evaluation of the condition of the house when they evacuate later at the time of end of lease.
This form is a boon for both the tenant and the owner of the property because then it becomes easier to evaluate the final condition of the house when the tenant is leaving the house.
If you are the owner you will be benefitted with this form because whether the tenants choose to buy the property or move out you will be safe enough. If the tenants choose to move out you will have the baseline to compare the condition of the house as compared to the time they moved in. If the tenant has done much damage then you will get a chance to charge them accordingly.
The tenant may benefit from this form because they too have a baseline to compare the condition of the property when they are leaving the property. This will help them evaluate if they need to pay the owner for any damage or not.
The checkin-out list must be filled in by the tenant carefully so that at the time of leaving the property they are not charged more than what they need to. This will save them their hard earned money without any hassle with the landlord.
