Assignment- joint ownership with right of survivorship, is an important document that has to be preserved and maintained until the property is sold by the seller to the purchaser, and the circle goes on. To be more precise, a joint ownership or otherwise called co-ownership, is a phase where a title of a particular property is help by two or more persons owning that property. There are three different types of joint ownership that are, tenants in common, joint tenancy, tenancy by entirety and joint tenancy. Right of survivorship is the right of an owner to take over a real property, if and only if the previous owner of the property passes away or gives it directly to the new owner.

This document holds the key ownership to a property, as it decides the real owner of a property by claiming it legally. This document also mentions the names and address of the joint members of the property and their signatures for a formality record. Hence, if this document is signed by the owners of the property, all the tax fees, mortgages, loans, and other fee are handled by these owner as a single spouse. This document also holds the value of the property before and after and all types of taxes that are due on the property that has to be paid. Once a new owner takes on the property, the funds are directly transferred to the new owner. Thus stating that, the new owner or owners have the right over the property.
